United Breaks Guitars;
Well perhaps the company that suffered this disaster the most was United airlines when this video hit youtube back in 2009.
This was a musical rendition of a customer's bad experience with United air lines and the video went viral and like in the Babra Streisand situation once the pictures of her house where on the internet there was no taking them down any more.
Market basket is another very good example of the Streisand effect where the customers of market basket came in to contribute to the saga. Get this most employees of Market Basket where no techno whizzes but that did not stop the movement.
In the case of market basket what started out as a sort of bad feeling among the employees due to the firing of Arthur .T. for his Cousin Arthur .S This ended in employees striking and refusing to work and when this didn't threaten Mr Arthur.s. The employees started a Facebook page(Save Market Basket Facebook page) and before long the pages was loaded with public opinions.. In the end the the resulting groundswell effect saw Arthur.T. reinstated and the employees back to work.
